Bridging: bridges without sagging
A bridge is a line printed across thin air: it needs the right speed, strong cooling and dry filament.
Useful settings
- Fan at 100% on bridges (PLA, PETG)
- Bridge speed: 30–50 mm/s
- Bridge flow: 85–95%
- 5 °C lower temperature for long bridges
- Dry filament: moisture causes bubbles and sagging
If bridges sag
- Shorten the bridge or add a support.
- Lower the temperature 5 °C.
- Raise the fan and slow down.
- Enable “Thick bridges” in slicers that have it.
