Flow rate: calibrating filament flow
Flow ratio decides how much plastic comes out: too high bulges walls, too low leaves gaps.
Calibration
- Dry the filament and preheat to printing temperature.
- In OrcaSlicer open Calibration > Flow rate and run the test (first pass, then second).
- Pick the square with the smoothest top surface.
- Enter the value as Flow ratio in the filament profile.
- Repeat for every new filament.
Typical values
- PLA: 0.96–1.00
- PETG: 0.93–0.98
- ABS and ASA: 0.92–0.97
- TPU: 0.95–1.05
Note
These are indicative: only your own test result counts. Bambu Lab printers adjust flow automatically.
